Since the beginning of the year, we have all watched our entire world upended by the impact of COVID-19. The United States has certainly been severely impacted, but fortunately reusable masks are now readily available online and in-store at an affordable price point along with other vital PPE. However in developing countries like Haiti, that is not the case. There, all PPE including masks are in woefully short supply.
There have been over 8,000 documented cases of the Coronavirus in Haiti, with numbers rapidly rising. International Child Care and Grace Children’s Hospital are calling upon our generous community to help and one way in which you can is by donating child-sized masks to the children at GCH.
By sending your sewn or purchased cloth child-sized masks to GCH, you will ensure that children receiving medical care at Grace Children’s Hospital have that very important layer of protection in helping prevent the spread of coronavirus to the people of Haiti. It’s not the only solution, but a very important one.
"We are so grateful to all the generous donors who have sent much needed masks to Grace Children's Hospital, they are truly helping us reduce the risk of infection for our young patients - thank you on behalf of the entire staff." - Dr. Bijou
